First Aid Responder

First Aid is the initial assistance provided to an injured person.


Duration: 3 days (18 Hours)

Location: Onsite training or based in Naas depending on availability.

Qualification: Upon successful completion of your practical assessments and written multiple choice questions, you will be provisionally awarded your Certified FAR National Responder Card. The results are subject to Phecc validation. Your card will then be posted to you in due course. Valid for 3 years.

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

Understand the legislation on Good Samaritan Law.

Administer CPR and use AED safely.

Recognise a range of common medical emergencies, treat accordingly until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

Deal with life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions in the pre-hospital environment until the arrival of EMS.

Accurately Record relevant details of incident and handover to EMS on arrival.



Any learner that may experience difficulty, or who is unable to partake in certain elements of First Aid Responder training is encouraged to speak with your instructor in confidence before training commences.
